• Adirondacks Adventures

  Adirondacks Adventures is a multi-skill adventure for campers ages 13-17 with ADHD, Aspergers Syndrome, or similar learning disorders. Over the course of the 3-week expedition, participants realize personal growth as they achieve together each of the challenges before them. Each group weaves together a weeklong backpacking expedition, rock climbing, and flat water paddling on pristine wilderness lakes, as they journey through the mountains and back to base camp.

• Camp Huntington

  Camp Huntington offers co-ed, residential, summer camps for children and young adults who have special needs such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, Pervasive Developmental Disabilities, and cognitive impairment. Camp Huntington's program is designed to maximize a child's potential and develop their strengths and hidden abilities.

• Cedars Academy

  The program at the Cedars Academy is based upon our understanding of the nature of the learning problems of the students we enroll. We present a process-oriented method which places the same degree of responsibility on the teacher to develop successful teaching style as it places on the student to develop a successful learning style. The student who attends the Cedars Academy tends to encounter difficulties in the classroom with peers, and among family members. These difficulties arise because our students perceive information differently from others, and tend not to select the relevant details when processing information.

• Oregon Trails

  Campers ages 14-17 with ADHD or Aspergers will take part in an inspiring 3 week expedition in the mountainous region of Redmond, Oregon. In an environment that invites self reflection, campers will learn accountability, teamwork, confidence, and goal setting through a wide variety of experiential activities.

• Talisman Summer Camp for Boys and Girls

  Talisman Summer Base Camp provides exciting adventures for boys and girls ages 9-13 with learning disabilities (LD), attention deficit disorder (ADD), and attention deficity hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Participants live on campus in rustic cabins. Activities include white water rafting, rock climbing, backpacking, and much more.

• Learning Disabilities Information

  Nearly 3 million students receive special education services every year, and of those, half are diagnosed with a learning disability. Though learning disabilities can't be cured, they can be managed. Learning programs help students find ways to work with and around their learning disorders, and can help them achieve academically in middle school, high school, and beyond. This website offers information and support to parents and students. Though students will learning disabilities have some unique challenges to overcome, their current and future successes to not have to be defined by their disability.

• SeaK

  SeaK is an expeditionary sea kayaking program for campers ages 13-17 with ADHD and learning differences. The Sea Kayaking takes place in the beautiful San Juan Islands of Washington, with programmed activities that naturally lends themselves to focus, communication, planning, and adventure. Campers in a small, closely supervised group work on social skills, accountability, confidence, and communication, while taking in the beautiful scenery.

• Talisail

  Talisailcontracts withSound Experience and the historic schooner Adventuress to assist in providing a sailing program for teens (13-17 yearsl old) with Aspergers, and High-functioning Autism, which takes place in the world-class waters of the San Juan archipelago in Northwestern Washington.

• Trek Northwest

  Campers ages 13-17 with ADHD, Aspergers, NLD, and other social skills needs, will participate in this 2 week long backpacking program. Trek Northwest is an adventure in the famous Olympic National Park. Working in small groups with highly trained staff, campers hone their social skills, develop self-confidence and learn the value of accountability.
