K-Bar-B Youth Ranch  K-Bar-B Youth Ranch occupies 75 acres of beautiful wooded land between Slidell and Lacombe, Louisiana. The property was acquired by the Kiwanis Club of New Orleans in 1946 and was used as a summer camp for underprivileged children until the early 1970s. At that time, the Kiwanis Club formed a partnership with Broadway, Inc., to create a facility to treat Louisiana's abused children.
