While we don't know exactly what causes eating disorders in teenagers, possible causes include feeling stressed out or upset or feeling the need to be "in control." Teen girls and boys can also be heavily influenced by society and the media. Eating Disorders can be treated through therapy in either an inpatient or outpatient program.
